During our first growing season, Sprout to Bloom began donating buckets of flowers to nationally-recognized inpatient rehab, MossRehab in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. MossRehab has an outstanding horticultural program for patients and families to participate in daily, including a PHS awarded greenhouse. Patients use the flowers for fresh arrangements as part of their recovery from major illness or injury while they stay at Moss.
Jackie is proud to be part of the Growing Kindness Project as a 2021 Growing Kindness Cultivator.
The COVID-19 pandemic altered it's operation during the 2020 season but Jackie will be donating again in 2021. Jackie is proud to be part of the Growing Kindness Project as a Growing Kindness Cultivator. This role places Sprout to Bloom as an active member in the Growing Kindness Community because we believe in the power of flowers to lift others up. In addition to donating to patients at Moss Rehab, Jackie plans to offer random bouquet donations, #growingkindness bundles around Ambler and offer flowers to our local food bank.
The #growingkindnessproject was started by a fellow flower grower, Deanna Kitchen of Twig and Vine and encourages flower farmers and home gardeners to share their bounty with the community to lift others up. Visit the Growing Kindness website to learn more about the movement and how you can become involved!
